For several months our team has been testing the UNIMO 1.0 prototype on city streets. We share our impressions from the tests and plans for the future
After receiving a license for UNIMO 1.0 prototype to drive on public roads, our team started testing the car in real city traffic conditions.
The prototype of the first level embodies original technical solutions. That is why it is so important to test UNIMO not only on the proving ground, but also in conditions close to the scenarios of daily use. Driving in the suburbs, driving in city traffic, maneuvering in parking lots — all this allows you to get the full experience of the car.
During the UNIMO testing the visibility of rear-view cameras, operation of the ramp-lift system, convenience of boarding and disembarking the passenger in a wheelchair, as well as a number of other features of the prototype were evaluated. Thus, the functionality of the car and the effectiveness of the applied engineering solutions were tested. All the obtained data was carefully registered and analyzed by the engineering team.
All tests showed that UNIMO is ready for urban use. And the acquired data formed the foundation for changes that will be embodied in the next generation of a universal vehicle — UNIMO 2.0.
